Job Profile:
The
Human Resources
Administrative Assistant coordinates human resources functions including but not limited to: Coordinate and manage training for 150 employees; Arrange for internal and external staff training and development; Recruitment and selection including reference checks; Arrange for advertising and posting of job vacancies; Manage personnel information databases; Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems; Prepare staff relations information; Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages; Schedule and confirm appointments; Type and proofread correspondence, forms, and other documents; Maintain and prepare reports, inventories, mailing lists, and databases; Photocopying, faxing, and filing preparations; WCB; Maintain confidentiality at all times; Prioritizing and completing assigned workload; Maintain an organized work area; Assisting in the coordination of meetings and meeting minutes; Communicating appropriately with managers, staff, individuals, families, guardians, and the general public.
Responsible to be aware of his/her health, safety, and wellness related responsibilities and must do their part towards workplace safety including reporting all potential job hazards, near misses, and workplace injuries.

1. Education
Requires High School Diploma plus formal business administration training. Business Administration Diploma preferred.
2. Experience
Requires minimum of one year office administrative experience, including knowledge of administrative processes; human resources experience considered an asset.

Limited direct contact with the individuals served; errors usually the result of not following procedures or inattention to detail.
5. Leadership
This is non-supervisory work, however there is typically responsibility for coordinating activities of others to accomplish results.

Contacts are primarily for the exchange of non-controversial information, often in accordance with assigned duties; there may be some resource coordination requiring giving basic instructions.

Contacts and relationships are typically for exchanging information and coordinating activities of others (scheduling interviews, meetings); tact, professionalism and courtesy required.

Work requires extensive use of keyboarding skill; speed and dexterity required; could be relatively constant, with some choice of activities.

Some activities cause physical fatigue; modest lifting, sitting for extended periods, attention to video screen, analysis, etc.; moderate choice of action.
10. Working Conditions
Inside office environment; regular work interruptions; moderate stressor; moderate control over pace of work.
Salary:
$16.00-$22.00 per hour
