Description
Our college is looking for a Payroll and Accounting Assistant to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to learn and grow in a positive and supportive environment with a great group of people.


Responsibilities:


  • Reconcile daily payment reports
  • Reconcile bank & credit card statements
  • Assist with accounts payable & accounts receivable duties
  • Assist AR on collection matters & follow up on past due balances
  • Prepare monthend reports
  • Maintain filing and record systems
  • Assist with fullcycle monthend accounting, posting journal entries and supporting reconciling key balance sheets and income statement accounts
  • Payroll Administration biweekly for payroll of salaried employees
  • Respond to Service Canada requests
  • Assist with processing unemployment/leave benefit claims.
  • Other accounting & administrative duties as assigned

Requirements:


  • Basic accounting knowledge and work experience preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with Sage accounting & Quick Books
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized, accurate and superb attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat)

Salary:
$40,897.00-$51,473.00 per year

  • Bachelor's Degree

Experience:


  • Accounting: 2 years (preferred)

  • Weekends as needed
