We have an exciting opportunity for an _
_INTERNAL AUDITOR__ _**_in Regina, SK. _

Main Duties include:

Prepares the audit plan, methodology, documentation reflecting best practices and emerging trends, and related processes in accordance with regulatory, legal and industry standards and organizational requirements.
Seeks input from senior leaders and other stakeholders with respect to potential control issues and risk.
Finalizes the audit plan, scope, and timeliness for submission to the CFO.
Conducts audits of financial, operational, and compliance areas to assess effectiveness and efficiency, controls, and risk.
Audits various financial and operational processes
Performs detailed testing, analysis, and assessment with respect to applicable laws, the integrity of corporate systems, processes, procedures, and related controls; proactively identifies gaps, deficiencies, errors, noncompliance issues, control weaknesses, and other areas of concern.
Creates a detailed audit report that incorporates key audit process categories.
Meets with the leadership to discuss the audit report, related findings, and recommendations.
Prepare and present Internal Audit reports presentations to Audit and Risk Committees.
Fosters a culture of accountability, transparency and continuous improvement by promoting awareness of internal audit principles and compliance requests across the organization.

Competencies for Success:

Bachelor of Administration or Commerce with a major in accounting.
A CPA designation is necessary, and individual must be an active member of CPA Saskatchewan
Three to five years of progressive and successful audit experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of sound audit practices as they relate to financial and operational processes.
CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) is an asset.
Financial management and control within the nonprofit sector is an asset.
Knowledge of the communications industry is preferred, particularly related to the Internet, cable television, and Access Communications' products and services.
