    _INTERNAL AUDITOR__ _**_in Regina, SK. _

Main Duties include:


  • Prepares the audit plan, methodology, documentation reflecting best practices and emerging trends, and related processes in accordance with regulatory, legal and industry standards and organizational requirements.
  • Seeks input from senior leaders and other stakeholders with respect to potential control issues and risk.
  • Finalizes the audit plan, scope, and timeliness for submission to the CFO.
  • Conducts audits of financial, operational, and compliance areas to assess effectiveness and efficiency, controls, and risk.
  • Audits various financial and operational processes
  • Performs detailed testing, analysis, and assessment with respect to applicable laws, the integrity of corporate systems, processes, procedures, and related controls; proactively identifies gaps, deficiencies, errors, noncompliance issues, control weaknesses, and other areas of concern.
  • Creates a detailed audit report that incorporates key audit process categories.
  • Meets with the leadership to discuss the audit report, related findings, and recommendations.
  • Prepare and present Internal Audit reports presentations to Audit and Risk Committees.
  • Fosters a culture of accountability, transparency and continuous improvement by promoting awareness of internal audit principles and compliance requests across the organization.

Competencies for Success:


  • Bachelor of Administration or Commerce with a major in accounting.
  • A CPA designation is necessary, and individual must be an active member of CPA Saskatchewan
  • Three to five years of progressive and successful audit experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of sound audit practices as they relate to financial and operational processes.
  • CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) is an asset.
  • Financial management and control within the nonprofit sector is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the communications industry is preferred, particularly related to the Internet, cable television, and Access Communications' products and services.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check.
