Overview

We are offering a unique opportunity for an independent Hairstylist, Colourist or Barber to subcontract a fully equipped professional suite. This is not a staff position; rather, it is an invitation for a motivated professional to run their own business within a premium space. You will have full autonomy over your brand, client management, and schedule within the available hours, providing an ideal setting for someone looking to maintain their independence without the overhead of a full lease.

​Availability & Terms

• ​Schedule: Monday through Friday.
• ​Time Constraints: Thursday and Friday access is available until 4:30 PM sharp.
• ​Contract: 6-month initial term with the possibility of extension.
• ​Structure: Daily rate (flat fee). No salary or commission provided.
• ​Flexibility: Open to time-sharing/splitting the week between two professionals.

​The Space

The suite is move-in ready and designed for high-end service, featuring:

• ​Two styling stations.
• ​Professional backwash/sink station.
• ​Dedicated color bar.

​Responsibilities & Requirements

As an independent subcontractor, you are your own boss. Your responsibilities include:

• ​Business Essentials: Managing all your own bookings, marketing, and insurance.
• ​Products: Providing all professional backbar and retail products.
• ​Client Care: Handling all client communication and payment processing.
• ​Maintenance: Maintaining high standards of sanitation and cleanliness. The space must be left exactly as found, with all equipment and furniture returned to its original placement.
• ​Professionalism: Operating with a high degree of independence; you are not joining a team, but sharing a professional environment.

​Skills & Qualifications

• ​Proven experience in hair styling, coloring, or barbering.
• ​Current professional licensing and liability insurance.
• ​A self-starter mindset with an existing clientele (preferred).
• ​Commitment to maintaining a clean, professional workspace.

​This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their career in the beauty industry while delivering outstanding service.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $20.00-$150.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
