    Job Overview

    We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in the field of mental health. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.


    Responsibilities

    • To provide high-quality services to clients with mental health issues, utilizing a client-centered approach.
    • To establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
    • To assess client needs and develop personalized care plans, taking into account their unique circumstances and goals.
    • To deliver interventions and therapies that promote positive change and independence, utilizing evidence-based practices.
    • To maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
    • To participate in ongoing training and professional development, staying current with best practices in the field.

    Qualifications

    • Diploma in Community Social Services or a related field, such as human services, mental health, life skills, and career development.
    • Two years recent experience in a similar role, preferably in a community setting.
    • Recognized post-basic education related to mental illness and addiction, such as counseling skills training.
    • Knowledge of applicable legislation, including the Mental Health Act and the Guardianship Act.
    • Knowledge of available programs, their interrelationships, and their function in delivering care in the community.
    • Knowledge of the local labor market.

    • Ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients.

    • Prioritize and organize client demands made and care needs.
    • Analyze and resolve problems.
    • Teach life skills.

    • Work cooperatively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
    • Promote positive change and independence.
    • Physically carry out the duties of the position.
    • Operate related equipment, including a computer.

    Requirements
