Position:

Working under the direction of the Director, the
Financial Analyst II, will conduct key tasks including

  • General ledger and account reconciliation
  • Generating invoices to sponsors
- monitoring interdepartmental cost recoveries

  • Assisting with budgeting of clinical trials
  • Coordinating the preparation and analysis schedules, statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Other tasks as assigned and adhoc requests, which may include, but are not limited to, developing accounting system for clinical trials, contributing to business cases for program expansion/consolidation ect., or participating on special committees

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • University degree in Business Administration or equivalent program, required
  • Working towards completion of a professional accounting program (e.g.,
    CPA), or relevant combination of education and experience
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, and or research funding an
  • Expert knowledge of Excel; strong knowledge of Access and PowerPoint
  • 3 years' relevant experience
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Experience with financial modeling, financial and cost accounting and with analyzing and interpreting large quantities of financial and statistical data; systems thinker
  • Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions, backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand
