- Act as a project engineer and technical lead under the direction of the Engineer of Record for tailings projects
- Train, mentor, and supervise technical work of Junior staff
- Manage projects, prepare proposals, and track budgets.
- Author or co-author reports
- Organize and supervise field programs, including: site investigation, construction, dam safety inspections
- Work with client representatives
- Help promote BGC vision, values and culture amongst BGC staff
- Travel as required, which could include extended shifts at remote sites
- 5-15 years relevant work experience
- Undergraduate degree in Civil or Geological Engineering
- Post-graduate degree is an asset
- Registered (or eligible for registration) as a professional engineer
- Experience in tailings management
- Experience in tailings dam site investigation, design, or construction support
- Excellent communication skills

The Role
BGC is seeking an Intermediate to Senior Geotechnical or Geological Engineer with experience in tailings management and tailings dam site investigation, design, analysis or construction support. They will work in a multidisciplinary team, leading tasks related to earth dam design and construction.
