Waste Management - Waterloo, Canada - GHD
Description
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and delivery of studies, conceptual and detail designs, implementation, field and site inspection/monitoring, and compliance work/reporting for waste management facilities (e.g., anaerobic digestion facilities, landfills, transfer stations, and, composting facilities)
- Data compilation, interpretation, and analysis of geochemical and hydrogeologic field and analytical data for technical and environmental reports
- Assist in the preparation of data tables, stratigraphic logs, and figures, as required
- Prepare technical memos, reports, and proposals under the direction of a senior professional
Qualifications:
- Passionate about the future of the environmental and waste management industries in Ontario and beyond
- Interest in environmental remediation, hydrogeology, and waste management operations, such as anaerobic digestion facilities, compositing facilities, landfill gas collection systems, leachate collection systems, or groundwater extraction systems
- Eager to work with multidiscipline teams (i.e., civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, Instrumentation and controls engineering, scientists, technologists etc.)
- Interest to assist with field tasks, as applicable, including possibly working in inclement weather conditions and in remote areas as part of a team
- Environmental science, Earth science, or Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering student from a recognized postsecondary institution
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
- Excellent time management, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Valid driver's license with driving record in good standing
- Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint
