Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist who will be motivated, self-directed and a key member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team with defined roles focused on quality patient care and patient flow. The successful candidate will be responsible to provide excellent care to a diverse acute medical patient population in a fast-paced setting.
Primary Responsibilities
•Providing RT coverage in the birthing unit, critical care units, emergency department and wards
•Member of the CCOT team, responsible for responding to various codes within the organization.
•Responsible for setup, maintenance and monitoring of respiratory equipment.
Skills & Abilities
•Experience with asthma and COPD patient education preferred
•Knowledge of adult education principles an asset
•Experience working with paediatrics and neonates preferred
•Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
•Demonstrated problem assessment skills
•Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
•Demonstrated individual leadership skills
•Demonstrated individual leadership skills
•Demonstrated commitment to, and understanding of the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion

Qualifications
•RRT registered with the College of Respiratory Therapists in the General Class
•Practice according to the standards and guidelines set out by the College
•BCLS and NRP required
•ACLS preferred
