Essential Duties

  • Ensure that the Manufacturing Supervisors and Team Leads are participating in and leading the corporate EHS Program and Culture within the designated area; and that all associates are fully engaged and accountable
  • Develop Value Stream Vision to align with overall Manufacturing Operations Vision.
  • Develop and maintain clear and simple methods to track and communicate value stream key metrics.
  • Be intimately involved in value stream mapping, determining current state, envision future state, and develop transition plan.
  • Develop and ensure that work processes support the manufacture of products that meet quality standards.
  • Select, develop, manage, and mentor Manufacturing Supervisors.
  • Develop processes to ensure flexibility within area through cross training and work teams.
  • Manage Area budget.
  • Drive year over year improvement with regard to safety, quality, productivity, waste reduction and labor efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain area communication plan through regular information and operations review meetings as well as individual floor contact.
  • Acts as a member of the Site Leadership Team.
  • Challenge status quo; explore new technologies and ways of doing business.
  • Actively participate in new product development programs.
  • Assures integrity of manufacturing processes.
  • Champions continuous improvement projects in designated area.
  • Lead specific projects as required.
  • Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.

Experience requirements:

  • Technical Experience: Experience with the supply chain and continuous improvement processes, and working under tight time constraints. Direct supervision experience. Ability to interpret drawings.
Industry Experience: 5 years or more manufacturing operations at a leadership level.

  • Knowledge of ISO 14001/9001 required.

  • Black Belt or Green Belt Certification preferred.
Must be flexible to travel as needed
