Purpose:

_**The incumbent is required to provide branch network support, planning and administration for 6 Regional Senior Vice-President's and their respective District Vice-Presidents and is responsible for administering the financial processes, analysis and performance assessments to support Executive and Regional decision making with respect to the domestic bank branch network.

The incumbent works closely with a variety of Executive Office departments in order to prepare business cases recommending branch openings, closures, relocations, expansions, consolidations and renovations.

The incumbent is also required to field a broad range of ad-hoc market, financial and customer information requests from throughout the Bank and may also be required to provide various market analytics associated with potential mergers and acquisitions.

Accountabilities:
_**1) Provide Senior Departmental and Regional Management recommendations for the cost effective and timely development and positioning of the Bank's distribution network branches, relocations, expansions, renovations, closures/ consolidations, lease renewals).
2) Develop the financial forecast to assess the merits of any one capital investment initiative.
3) Provide liaison function between the Regions & District Vice-Presidents, Real Estate and Ask Operations relative to all planned over $250M CEF projects.
4) Conduct timely, high quality research as a basis for management decision-making for standard and non-standard requests.
5) Assist in identifying, promoting and establishing new approaches in analyzing and presenting information to assist in decision making.

Provide management and leadership support to all supervised staff and be a team player in the Canadian Branch Network Services Group and in Real Estate.

6) Provide effective performance coaching and manage productivity in support of Canadian Branch Network Services objectives.

Educational/Experience Requirements:
_**- Knowledge of the Canadian Bank's Region/DVP/Branch network and operating environment would be an asset;

  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, are key to this position;
  • Creative and strategic thinker with strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels;
  • Must be an effective teambuilder dedicated to the highest standards of customer service;
  • Extensive knowledge of real estate development activities within diverse geographic boundaries and a strong knowledge of the local economics and demographics;
  • Must be able to think strategically for long term adjustments to the network, as well as demonstrate an aptitude to react quickly to specific network development priorities raised by any of the District Vice-Presidents or Senior Regional Management;
  • Require managerial skills essential for diverse multifunctional unit; and
  • University degree, preferably with an emphasis in Applied Geography (economic and marketing geography, retail site location analysis), finance & economics, and/or urban planning.
  • Several years of experience in Market Analysis/Location Analysis.
