IT Infrastructure Specialist

Company Overview:

We're looking for an IT Infrastructure Specialist to support our 10 affiliates across North America, ensuring robust and efficient IT operations.


Position Summary:


As our IT Infrastructure Specialist, you'll work under the IT Infrastructure Manager, focusing on key areas of our IT infrastructure.

Your role is pivotal in maintaining, optimizing, and securing our IT systems, providing the technical backbone for our subsidiaries' operations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Configure and maintain network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls), ensuring network security and efficiency.
  • Provide Level 2 and 3 technical support, resolving complex issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for IT project implementation and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and standards.
  • Participate in and provide input to system architecture design, planning, and implementation of new systems.

Technical Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Relevant industry certifications are an asset.

Minimum of 3 years' experience in IT infrastructure roles with hands-on experience in:

  • Configuring and troubleshooting network equipment, including switches and firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco, MikroTik). Extensive knowledge of IP, WAN, LAN, and VPN technologies.
  • Working with Windows Server environments , Azure cloud services, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • 2+ years of previous experience in Microsoft Azure and MS 365 administration and deployment
  • Experience with SAN, NAS, Azure storage and Veaam backup system
  • Implementing and managing cybersecurity measures and best practices.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to handle complex technical scenarios.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a focus on customer service and team collaboration
