Position Summary:


As the Sales Representative for our Storage Solutions Group (SSG), you are a professional salesperson who is confident to consult with customers on their pallet racking, shelving, storage and material handling systems solutions.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about sales and likes providing the solution to customers with their challenging business needs in how they store and automate their environments.


The Storage Solutions Representative (SSG) is patient to persevere through lengthy sales processes, and have a keen awareness of the importance of sales services to fully understand customer expectations and respond appropriately.

Throughout this process, they will coordinate their interventions with their internal and external partners to respect the budget and manage the project concerning the products and services.

As such, their sense of organization and communications will become imperative to successfully close contracts.

The Storage Solutions Representative (SSG) also has experience in prospecting for new clientele and the development and support of current customers.

Their ability to build long-term relationships is critical to their success.


How You'll Make an Impact


You sell reputable material handling products and services that enable our customers to meet their business goals through optimizing their material handling and storage solutions.


  • Execute creative prospecting strategies to secure new customers a key focus of this role is securing new business and revenue opportunities
  • Persevere throughout an often lengthy sales process, and also with a keen awareness of the importance of sales service
  • Fully understand customer expectations, educate client's on Johnston Equipment's line of products and respond appropriately
  • Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business while maintaining high customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate with manufacturers, engineers, designers, installers and customers to ensure project timelines and expectations are successfully met
  • Generate revenue through sales activities working towards targets and department objectives

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Experience in B2B outside sales experience, preferably in business development, lead generation, outbound calling, or equivalent
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills, you are a confident communicator, comfortable speaking with managers, executive and peers
  • Strong work ethic, ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and a professional attitude
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Highly motivated, selfstarter with a high degree of initiative, a cando attitude, results and goaldriven mindset and the ability to achieve set targets
  • Polished customer service skills and an ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work with strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
