We offer Landscape Construction and Landscape Maintenance - creating and maintaining meaningful spaces such as parks, playgrounds, and restoration projects.

In the winter we continue to support communities by offering Snow Removal services.

This position is located in Calgary and the surrounding areas

The
Maintenance Lead Hand will report to the Maintenance Manager.

Crews will meet each day on a construction site (Calgary and surrounding area) or at the Landform yard as determined by the manager.


Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Train, and supervise groundskeeping crew
  • Ensure Safety processes including FLHA's, Covid assessments, toolbox meetings, SWP, SJP, etc
  • Dispose of waste materials, noxious weeds, clippings, etc. properly
  • Weed whacking, trimming bushes, pulling weeds and edging lawns using a variety of machines
  • Cutting down tree limbs that are posing a danger
  • Performing minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping
  • Check moisture levels

Who you are:


  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the landscape maintenance industry
  • Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
  • Able to work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in order to meet deadlines
  • Possess a passion for gardening, physical work and working outdoors with nature
  • Safely work around heavy equipment
  • Great time management skills; available for seasonal long hours, a clear schedule to work all hours of the day, any day of the week and a strong work ethic
  • Follows all safety rules, policies, and regulations
  • Attention to detail and focus on quality of work
  • Capable of delegating and coordination
  • Reliable and trustworthy personality
Regular full time shifts are Monday to Friday. Compensation will be based on experience. We look forward to hearing from you


Salary:
$21.50-$22.50 per hour
