Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Development - Canada, the Business Development Manager has the overall responsibility for supporting the Business Development team in increasing Air Canada's market share and profitability.

The Business Development Manager will align their objectives with the overall objectives of the Global Sales Branch and the Corporate and Business Development Canada department.


Description:


  • Manage daytoday relationships with VIP clients
  • At the direction of leadership, assist in the organization of events to promote and position Air Canada as a leader in the corporate community
  • Assist in sponsorship negotiations to help ensure maximum benefit to Air Canada in contracts
  • Implement strategic plans that grow revenues and increase market share
  • Respond effectively to rapid changes in the marketplace by successful internal and external communication to ensure customer awareness and Air Canada revenue and market share protection
  • Represent Air Canada at corporate and industry events
  • Responsible for execution of partnership marketing and sponsorship opportunities
  • Nurture strong business relationships with all new customers
  • Liaise with internal departments and branches to support business development objectives and bring forward customer feedback and recommend product enhancing solutions
  • Work alongside Business Development/Corporate Sales team members to coordinate lead development pipeline opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in an appropriate field and/or a minimum of three (3) years of pertinent sales experience
  • Results oriented and proven ability for attention to detail and deadlines
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to cope with irregular or multiple work demands
  • Must be receptive to flexible work hours and travel expectations
Team Player and ability to provide mentoring and assistance to team members

  • Motivated self starter who can work with mínimal direction
