The Chignecto Central Regional Centre for Education is located in beautiful Central & Northern Nova Scotia, Canada. The Centre serves approximately 19,000 children from Pre-Primary to Grade Twelve with over 70 facilities. This is an opportunity to professionally grow with an exciting and vibrant organization where collaboration is valued. Applications are currently being accepted for a Family Facility Manager.

The Family Facility Manager reports directly to the Coordinator for Property Services.

As a member of the Property Services management team, the Family Facility Manager provides leadership with the delivery of effective custodial, maintenance and project management services according to the mandate, objectives, principles and policies of the Chignecto Central Regional Centre for Education.


QUALIFICATIONS:


Minimums

  • Nova Scotia High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience in facility maintenance, repairs, renovations, and/or custodial management.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and supervise staff.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, Internet Browsers, and Google Suite, showcasing effective use and navigation of these essential software tools.
  • Demonstrated proficient communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effectively manage multiple competing priorities in a demanding, fast paced environment.
  • Significant project management experience.
  • Strong skills in collaboration.
  • Possess a valid Nova Scotia Driver's License and an ability and willingness to travel.

Assets

  • Formal completion of Interprovincial Standard Red Seal, Engineering Technology, Building Owners and Management Institute or other related facility management programs, certificates or diplomas.
  • Training and/or certification in health and safety programs (ex. First Aid, WHMIS, Fall Arrest, Confined Spaces, Playground Inspections, Hazardous Materials Removal/Remediation).
  • Basic knowledge of SAP systems.

SALARY:Non Union Pay Band 8 (
$2,610.75 to $3, Bi-weekly)
