Charger Logistics is looking for an organized, tech-savvy individual to join our dynamic team as a
MongoDB Administrator to join our team at the company's office in Brampton, Ontario.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain MongoDB database software and related tools.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
- Implement and maintain database security, including access controls, encryption, and data integrity.
- Design and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and integrity.
- Perform database migrations and upgrades as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve databaserelated issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with developers to design and optimize database schemas and queries.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to database configuration, procedures, and best practices.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in database administration.
- Experience with Mongo as service as well as K8s environment.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of Proven work experience as a MongoDB Database Administrator or similar role, with a focus on setting up and managing largescale MongoDB databases.
- Strong understanding of MongoDB architecture, including replica sets, sharded clusters, and data distribution.
- Knowledge on Kafka, SQL Server, DB2 is an asset.
- Proficiency in MongoDB database performance tuning and optimization techniques and experience with MongoDB backup and recovery strategies, including pointintime recovery and disaster recovery procedures is a must.
- Knowledge of MongoDB security features and best practices for securing MongoDB databases.
- Familiarity with MongoDB monitoring and diagnostic tools, such as MongoDB Cloud Manager, Ops Manager, or thirdparty solutions.
- Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex database issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
- MongoDB certifications (e.g., MongoDB Certified DBA) are highly desirable.
