looking for an Infection Prevention and Control to join the growing team at Grandview Lodge, an award-winning, nationally
accredited 128-bed long-term care home in Dunnville.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:


Reporting to the Administrator, the incumbent will:

  • Administer standard office procedures, such as those related to the processing of invoices, time reporting, budget
administration and records management, to ensure the effective administration of Grandview Lodge.

  • Provide complete confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Administrator

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


  • Community College Diploma / Degree relative to area of responsibility.

PLUS

  • Up to 5 years current related experience (may include additional speciality training).

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:


  • Thorough understanding of corporate / division business administration procedures to recommend and / or
undertake activities that increase efficiency of division (for example: communication documents including report
preparation, budget preparation and monitoring, invoice processing, records management, meeting / event
organization).

  • Good understanding of functions carried out by Department / Division, as well as the interrelationship of municipal
structure and functions with other department / divisions within the County and other government agencies
including Ministry of Health and Long Term Care to understand municipal and provincial government and
services.

  • Proven initiative to work independently or as a team member with mínimal direction; to resolve issues without
forwarding to his / her immediate non-union supervisor; to identify issues and initiate activities to resolve them.

  • Time management / organization skills to identify priorities, rearrange work if required; to meet identified
deadlines.

  • Communication skills (listening, writing, verbal) to deal with operational issues, inquiries from staff / public; to edit
/ proofread documents generated for / by staff; to prepare documentation for management review and signature.

  • Valid Ontario Drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.

COMPUTER EXPERTISE:

Level - The incumbent must possess intermediate and advanced computer skills scored at 65% or higher for Outlook
and have good sound knowledge of Word / Excel / PowerPoint to ensure their:

  • proven ability to use desktop or department / division specific software packages on their own or combine
information from different software packages to get the desired result,
- solid understanding of the software to enable the incumbent to know the best tool to do the job efficiently,
- knowledge to utilize software to develop quality reports, professional looking presentations, publications and/or to

develop complex spreadsheets for anal
