Aevitas Inc. is currently hiring a full-time Hazardous Materials Coordinator to work out of our Maple Ridge, BC facility.This is a full-time, permanent position with a total compensation plan including:

Duties and Responsibilities
- Classify and characterize hazardous materials and generate hazardous waste profiles.
- Ensure hazardous materials are packaged and labelled properly and prepare associated paperwork.
- Provide safe transportation of hazardous waste from a generator locations to disposal facilities
- Load and unload hazardous waste using material handling equipment including forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks and/or or dollies.
- Facilitate consolidation and hazardous waste streams and assist with inventory management ensuring compliance with permits.
- Comply with all corporate policies, procedures, industry standards and legislative requirements.
Qualifications
- Postsecondary education in chemistry, chemical technology, related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum one (1) year experience.
- Valid class 5 Drivers License
- Working knowledge of handling and disposal of hazardous waste
- Familiar with health, safety, environmental and transportation of dangerous goods legislation
- Able to use Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Excellent communication skills
