How will you contribute?

The Tenant Services Coordinator is accountable for planning, organizing, developing and managing the implementation of accommodation projects (including renovations, refreshing and refitting) for a client portfolio across the full cycle of such projects, and for ensuring the quality and timeliness of project delivery.

The incumbent is also responsible for planning and coordinating projects assigned in relation to base building maintenance and for ensuring an integrated approach to project delivery with all internal and external service providers and contractors.

This includes all the scheduling, and the coordination of all building access requests to complete any work in Senate occupied buildings and the management of internal contracts in place (e.g., internal signage) to deliver our mandate.

Additionally, the planning and the coordination of office moves is required as well as supervising one (1) Accommodation & Tenant Services Officer (Interior Designer).

The Tenant Services Coordinator is expected to be on site on a rotational basis and remain available to respond to building emergencies during regular business hours as and when required (e.g., flood, etc.).

The general public to staff one (1) permanent (full-time) position in the Property and Services Directorate.

This selection process may be used to staff determinate or indeterminate positions at the same level with similar requirements.

Prerequisites

  • Postsecondary education in a relevant field OR a combination of education and experience;
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience offering tenant services or facilities management services to corporate clients;
  • Must have demonstrated experience working in collaboration with external stakeholders on corporate construction projects including maintenance, renovations or fitups.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee resources on project deliverables across multidisciplinary teams including but not limited to designers, technologist and external partners (e.g., Public Services and Procurement Canada).
  • Superior customer service and communication skills are required to build relationship with internal/external parties while setting appropriate expectations;
  • Knowledge of Parliament and the Canadian political landscape would be considered an asset.
