About us:


Canurta is a preclinical biotechnology company pioneering the production of effective and novel polyphenol-rich ingredients and products to support prevention and recovery across a spectrum of indications for humans and animals in the food, wellness and biopharma sectors.

Canurta is the patent-holder of multiple processes which enable the production of rare, non-cannabinoid, non-psychoactive polyphenols derived from hemp, which are scientifically proven to target and inhibit inflammation and other mediators of disease at their source.


Description


The Social Media Community Manager will be responsible for creating, reviewing and editing content for the company, which will be published on the company's social media pages.

The Social Media Community Manager will work closely with the marketing department.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging and insightful content to be updated and organized in our content calendar that supports our campaign successes and content strategy
  • Create and design content for social media posts for the company's social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn), including standard single image posts, reels, and descriptions
  • Create 35 posts a week to present and review with the marketing department and other stakeholders
  • Maintain a unified brand voice across different social media channels
  • Ensure content is free of grammatical or factual errors and follows all company brand guidelines
  • Publish content on various platforms and analyze traffic performance
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements:


  • Postsecondary education or currently enrolled in postsecondary education in marketing, new media or a related field
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook etc.
  • Ability to develop and deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Knowledge of Canva
  • Ability to communicate and leverage trending topics, tactics, and audience behaviours
  • Strong communication and timemanagement skills
  • A portfolio of applicable output
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The expected duration of this job is 8-16 weeks, 35 hours per week.


This job is dependent on receiving funding from the Canada Summer Jobs Program.
