Senior Project Manager Calgary , Alberta Program Manager/Senior Project Manager Toronto , Ontario View all jobs in this category We are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager for a long-term contract position with possible extensions in Alberta.

This is a remote role. Occasional travel to site may be required (3-4 times per month).

Our client is looking for a Senior IT Project Manager to work on a program design/implementation for a digital identity initiative.

This initiative is aimed at unifying end-user data across the organization's departments, programs, and services to improve client experience.

The Data Unit requires a resource to support these efforts as the capacity does not exist within the current team.

Oversee Project and

Program Engagement:

Manage all aspects of project and program engagement, including planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resource allocation, budgeting, change management, and risk mitigation.

Collaborate closely with the senior leadership team and internal stakeholders.
Develop presentations for stakeholder engagement, steering committees, project groups, and other key audiences.
Assist team members in analyzing industry engagement surveys. Manage tasks, action items, and follow-ups as needed.


Administrative Tasks:
Coordinate approvals and sign-offs


Project Direction and Monitoring:
Provide guidance to cross-functional teams to ensure successful product delivery. Track scope and timelines for data product delivery. Regularly analyze and report on project progress, communicating relevant information to stakeholders.

University degree in business, management or related discipline, and four years of Project Management (PM) experience or equivalent education and experience.

Minimum 8 years of experience managing custom application development projects with at least 5 team members.
Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
Experience developing project deliverables including project charters, business cases, briefing notes, status reports, risk logs and project closures.
Experience conducting, facilitating and interpreting impact and risk assessments across multiple scenarios.

8+ years of Senior leadership experience defining project scope, goals and deliverables such as roadmaps, governance, briefing notes, and business cases that support project goals in collaboration with business stakeholders.

Experience leading change management and communication planning.
Minimum 8 years of experience managing custom software application development projects following a formal project life cycle methodology.
Experience creating and managing project forecasts in Microsoft Project.
Experience using MS Project tools in a project server environment.
