Heavy Duty Cleaner


Shift:


Full Time:
Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:00pm with alternate on call weekends


Pay Rate:
$20 hourly to start


Location:
Vaughan, ON


We are looking for someone who:

• Has prior cleaning experience and knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools, solutions and equipment of the janitorial service in condominium or apartment is an asset
• Is motivated and willing to work and learn
• Must be able to take direction, to work with mínimal supervision, and to function cooperatively as part of a team
• Can pass a background check

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains and cleans compactor room
• Assists in the moving of garbage bins when needed
• Cleans and services restrooms with light duty housekeeping duties.
• Sweeps, vacuums, and mops floors and stairways
• Gathers and disposes of rubbish and waste materials by hand or with the use of powered equipment
• Cleaning building common areas, hallways, lobbies, bathrooms, kitchen, offices, etc.
• Disinfecting all high touch point areas
• Spot cleaning walls, ceilings, partitions, light switches and windowsills, door glass
• Polishes & dusts furniture, metal work, and chrome using appropriate cleaning and polishing compounds
• Changing light bulbs and cleaning fixtures, some low ladder work
• General Maintenance duties
• Enhanced cleaning as per work orders when requested
• Additional tasks assigned by Manager/Superintendent

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 25 lbs
• Stand and/or walk throughout the duration of the shift
• Able to bend, stretch, lift, push, pull and carry, climb stairs
• Operate equipment when required

Salary:
From $20.00 per hour
