Job Summary
The Warehouse Worker is responsible for the preparation of documentation, shipping, receiving, picking, packing, cleaning, and organizing. They must be in compliance with training in Health & Safety, Security, Quality control, ISO and SOP's.


Responsibilities

  • Operate different types of lifting equipment counter balance forklift,
    high reach trucks, electric pallet truck
  • Unload cargo from truck trailers and various ocean containers where forklifts are not needed
  • Work in accordance with NECA SOP's and our customers SOP's
  • Check and put away received cargo to the designated areas
  • Print and check shipping orders
  • Pick orders and prepare them for safe transport
  • Work on special projects and repacking operations
  • Load cargo into truck trailers or various ocean containers where forklifts are not needed
  • Work on same day shipping
  • Responsible for quality control
  • Responsible for verifying all documentation (waybills, packing lists)
  • Use warehousing management system and maintain accuracy of inventory
  • Communicate with client representatives and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, objectives and business ethics
  • Practice safe warehouse procedures, identify potential hazards, and recommend improvements where necessary
  • Report any workrelated injuries or accidents to Supervisor/Manager
  • Maintain warehouse in a neat, orderly and efficient fashion
  • Various other duties as may be required

Qualifications

  • Experience in general warehousing with preference to a 3PL environment
  • Experience with WMS, TMS, various courier shipping systems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to operate counterbalance, reach trucks and electric and manual pallet trucks

Education/Certifications

  • Forklift Certification,
    especially for stand up high reach:
  • High School Diploma
  • WHMIS Training is an asset
  • TGD Certificate is an asset
