Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the Library Technician position will provide library services including: circulation, reference, collection development, cataloguing and processing, publication order processing and inter-library loans.
The Library Technician will demonstrate the following:

Experience:
- Automated library system experience is required.
- Experience in maintenance of audiovisual material.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate):
- Three years related library experience or an equivalent combination of postsecondary education that includes library courses and library experience.
- Library and Information Technology Certificate or Diploma from a recognized program.

Not applicable
Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to interact with staff, related agencies and the general public.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work within and contribute to a positive team environment.
- An understanding of, and sensitivity to, working with culturally diverse populations is essential.
- Knowledge of the addictions field is an asset.
- Fluency in English (French verbal and written an asset).
