- Operate the screed behind the mix asphalt paving machine
- Ensure that asphalt is distributed evenly along on the road
- Adhere to healthy and safety rules and protocols
- Complete daily preventative maintenance checks on machine
- Have a safety mindset and report any unsafe work or incidents
- Experience operating the controls on the Screed, ensuring the quantity and consistency of the asphalt is the correct.
- Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors and the general public in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
- Maintains a valid Class 5 driver's license or better.
- Own vehicle to get to and from jobsite.
- Willing to work out of town and in remote locations, as required.
- Willing to work overtime, as required.
- Must comply with the company's drug & alcohol program, including testing requirement.
- Other duties as assigned.
