We are hiring for a client in Grande Prairie.


Job Summary:

Our client is a longstanding company in the community, looking for a Merchandising Manager. Enjoy RRSP matching (after 2 years of service), and opportunities for growth.


Duties will include:


  • Open/close store, following all procedures
  • Supervise staff on shift
  • Hole check aisles regularly to ensure adequate stock levels
  • Remit any notices/information to the stock team
  • Ensure stock team are taking care of assigned areas
  • Ability to see issues that need to be addressed and add to task list
  • Ensure all customers are acknowledged and helped to the best of our abilities
  • Authorize returns/price overrides/warranty issues
  • Merchandising aisles
  • Ensure all expectations are followed (pricing, facing, overstock)
  • Safety advocate, ensure all staff follow best practices to avoid injury
  • Work on special projects as assigned by Assistant Manager or Store Manager
  • Participate in cycle counting (inventory)
  • Forecasting inventory demands/trends
  • Oversight of retail floor, aesthetically pleasing store layouts and displays
  • Promotion roll out

Qualifications:


  • Must have 2+ years of larger retail experience
  • Must be a positive, outgoing, customer focused, self driven individual with an eye for detail
Preference will be given to those with merchandising experience.
