    The Opportunity

    We are currently seeking a Manager, Project Services to manage project control systems for multiple projects across our North Atlantic Operations.

    This position has the responsibility for developing, planning, controlling, forecasting, scheduling, and project reporting for our North American projects. In addition, the role is responsible for the OPEX and CAPEX estimates and for preparing the yearly and 5-year plan budgets.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Lead the overall cost and cash control support for major projects and project studies.
    • Develop and maintain the cost management databases on projects.
    • Responsible for reviewing the budget development and project cash flow and cost control from the projects during the development to ensure project objectives are delivered.
    • Report project cost to management team for internal reviews and analyze cost variances and make recommendations for corrective actions for projects.
    • Collaborate with Project Managers and engineering consultants to ensure adherence to CAPEX, OPEX financial guidelines and policies.
    • Coordinate financial reporting between divisional project teams and finance teams to ensure budgets are properly managed.

    About You

    Education:

    • Technical college diploma at minimum.
    • P.Eng or related university degree in related field of study preferred.
    • PMP Certification (or equivalent) preferred.
    • Finance/ business management degree preferred.

    Experience:

    • 10+ years of project control experience, preferably in a project environment -preferably in industrial or mining industries.
    • Strong background in continuous improvement methodologies.

    Skills:

    • Knowledge of procurement/contracts, construction management, scheduling and document control.
    • Strong background ERP (SAP) and and data visualization (PowerBI) platforms
    • Unwavering commitment to health and safety policies and protocols
    • Strong communication and team management skills.
    • Effective presentation skills
    • Advanced skills in MS Office suite
