The ELYSIS technology eliminates all direct greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the aluminium smelting process and is the first technology ever that emits oxygen as its by-product.


This position is an exciting opportunity to develop and manage the ELYSIS procurement operations function to enable the commercialization of a breakthrough technology for the aluminum industry.

This role is central to the ELYSIS organization as a point of escalation for procurement operational issues for ELYSIS team members and ELYSIS suppliers.

Key Activities / Responsibilities

  • Relentless focus on Environment, Health, and Safety.
  • Develop and manage a strong relationship with ELYSIS location stakeholders to source goods, services, and equipment for innovation projects and site operations.
  • Conduct competitive sourcing events to identify the best overall solution for stakeholder needs.
  • Author, negotiate and manage contracts to minimize ELYSIS risk, establish competitive pricing, and secure terms and conditions.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships while determining the best opportunities to source requirements.
  • Coordinates new supplier development, ERP system set up, and supplier training regarding ELYSIS procurement processes.
  • Manage all RtP (requisition to pay) procurement activities for ELYSIS global locations.
  • Collaborates with Procurement Services Center team for processing, issue resolution, or escalation of transactional activities for master data management, requisiton creation, approvals, purchase order creation, expediting, and invoice processing.
  • Organizes and maintains essential documentation for the development and execution of all purchases in compliance with commercial contract terms and audit requirements.
  • Develops and delivers procurement process training and programs for personnel to ensure adherence to policies and best practices.
  • Provides support to strategic sourcing leaders with execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Identifies and pursues improvements to procurement processes, practices, and systems for ELYSIS procurement team.
  • Ensures compliance with all established procurement policies, procedures, and governance.
  • Develop, deploy, and manage an ELYSIS trade compliance program meeting Canadian Trade regulations and requirements, including the new Canada's Assessment and Revenue Management (CARM) project.
  • Monitor and manage ELYSIS customs broker.
Mobility

ELYSIS is a global company with operations in Canada, France, and the United States.

Business related travel anticipated, <10%, to ELYSIS sites or suppliers.

About You

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply management, engineering, or business.
  • Minimum five years procurement operations or finance experience.
  • Experience with RtP (requisition to pay) processes and systems. Experience with Oracle preferred, but other ERP platform experience is relevant.
  • Passionate about transforming the aluminium industry with a breakthrough technology.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including proficiency in English and French required.
  • Interest and ability to gain proficiency in Canadian Trade regulations, including Customs and Export requirements.
  • Adaptability and curiosity to learn and work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Proven ability to influence others as a team player to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Strives for excellence with a high level of detail orientation.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with ELYSIS stakeholders.
