As a Collection Agent, you will work with the Customer Services/Dispatch Manager to collect deposits and dispatch customer payments in accordance with internal procedures.


THE ROLE:


  • Perform daily processing of deposit collections from accounts receivable;
  • Pull and post bank deposits (wire transfers, direct deposits, ACH, LockBox, etc.) into the cashiering system for each customer;
  • Ensure that term discounts are taken within the established terms;
  • Search the various customer portals for supporting documentation for each deposit, and attach to the customer invoice;
  • Maintain uptodate cash receipts journals;
  • Perform accounting entries such as write offs, credit/debit reconciliations, GL, etc;
  • Balance deposits and receipts daily, monthend, and quarterly;
  • Perform and complete monthend procedures;
  • Assist Dispatchers in processing customer deductions by ensuring that these are preauthorized;
  • Work closely with the Dispatch Team, Customer Service Agents, Accounting and Account Managers.
  • Ideally 2 years of relevant experience;
  • DEP in accounting or similar training;
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and meet various objectives;
  • Oriented towards the satisfaction and expectations of internal clients;
  • Team player, motivated and detail oriented;
  • Fluency in French and good use of English;
  • Relevant experience in cashiering data entry;
  • Able to work efficiently and meet deadlines;
  • Knowledge of BlueBee and Qlik systems, an asset.
