As a Collection Agent, you will work with the Customer Services/Dispatch Manager to collect deposits and dispatch customer payments in accordance with internal procedures.
THE ROLE:
- Perform daily processing of deposit collections from accounts receivable;
- Pull and post bank deposits (wire transfers, direct deposits, ACH, LockBox, etc.) into the cashiering system for each customer;
- Ensure that term discounts are taken within the established terms;
- Search the various customer portals for supporting documentation for each deposit, and attach to the customer invoice;
- Maintain uptodate cash receipts journals;
- Perform accounting entries such as write offs, credit/debit reconciliations, GL, etc;
- Balance deposits and receipts daily, monthend, and quarterly;
- Perform and complete monthend procedures;
- Assist Dispatchers in processing customer deductions by ensuring that these are preauthorized;
- Work closely with the Dispatch Team, Customer Service Agents, Accounting and Account Managers.
- Ideally 2 years of relevant experience;
- DEP in accounting or similar training;
- Demonstrated ability to organize and meet various objectives;
- Oriented towards the satisfaction and expectations of internal clients;
- Team player, motivated and detail oriented;
- Fluency in French and good use of English;
- Relevant experience in cashiering data entry;
- Able to work efficiently and meet deadlines;
- Knowledge of BlueBee and Qlik systems, an asset.
