As a Program Manager, you will be accountable for the overall schedule, budget and execution of the program, in accordance with the policies and practices of CMC Electronics as well as the laws, regulations and administrative ruling of governmental organizations.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for Programs' budgets, schedule and execution;
- Program Manager leads and drives all engineering activities through the Project Engineer and Engineering Manager;
- Tracks the progress of the program to meet customer deliverables (NRE or equipment), and takes corrective actions with Engineering and Operations as challenges arise;
- Ensures all customer dependencies are provided in a timely manner for program execution;
- Program Managers are responsible for driving and maintaining the schedule of program milestones;
- Plan programs with the necessary timelines to effectively execute engineering and related operations;
- Manage/coordinate subcontracts with the Contract Manager, including major subcontracts with NRE;
Works closely with Quality/SQA/Airworthiness, finance and contracts as well as the Engineering Manager to meet the needs of the program.
To excel in this role, you must hold:
- Bachelor of Electrical or Computer Engineering as a minimum;
- Member of OIQ, MBA will be an asset;
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in development, production, or support of avionics systems;
- Good knowledge and experience of program planning and execution;
- Knowledge of software development;
- Excellent negotiation, communication and leadership skills;
- Excellent writing skills for interfacing with internal/external support groups;
- Ability of organizing, implementing and evaluating multidisciplinary engineering activities;
- Bilingual (French/English), verbal and written.
