JOB OVERVIEW
A Fabricator (Licensed / Non-Licensed) is responsible for reading & understanding schematics and blueprints and fabricating metal parts and structures per the customer request. We are looking to add someone to our team who is eager to learn, detail-orientated and a team player.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
§ Layout (fitting)
§ Use of brake, shear and saw
§ Use of iron worker
§ Welding to CWB standards
§ Polishing/finishing welds
§ Assist with various shop projects, including shop maintenance
§ Fabrication of various jobs/projects
§ Able to read blueprints/drawing/sketches
§ Knowledge of GMP guidelines and practices
§ Read and understand schematics and blueprints
§ Conduct quality control checks
§ Work closely with designers & engineers & product development
§ Accurate and timely completion of all daily paperwork
§ In accordance with company policy/ESA; overtime, work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the company
§ All other duties as assigned
Requirements
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
§ Completion of High School or equivalent
§ Metal Fabricator/Fitter 437A or equivalent
§ Previous 8-10 years of fabrication experience
§ MIG welding experience. CWB tickets considered a strong asset
§ You have a get it done attitude and are skilled at removing barriers
§ You operate with a team spirit, not with ego; you want everyone, including yourself, to do their best work; you see your success as dependent on the success of the team
§ You have the ability to think beyond the needs of the customer to point out errors and potential issues
§ You are able to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, cope effectively with complexity and change, quickly understand and absorb new information and respond appropriately
§ You are a straight shooter who gets to the point and can clearly communicate in both oral and written form
