- Assist in the design, development, and testing of gearbox systems for various applications.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify design improvements and optimize gearbox performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate gearboxes into larger mechanical systems.
- Perform calculations, simulations, and testing to ensure gearbox reliability, efficiency, and durability.
- Support troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts related to gearbox issues.
- Stay current with industry trends, standards, and best practices in gearbox design and technology.
- Engage with customers to understand their unique requirements and designs needed for custom products.
- Ensure continued innovation and learning through the active involvement of servicing products from other manufacturers.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and fundamentals.
- Some familiarity with gearbox components, mechanisms, and gearing systems is considered an asset
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, KissSoft, UTS) and other engineering analysis tools.
- Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Registered with APEGA
- The discussed salary range is $85 000 to $95 000 depending on experience.
