    Position Overview

    As part of our expansion plan, we are in the process of reopening our production facility, which will mark a significant milestone in our journey towards excellence.

    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HR Contractor with a specialization in recruitment to join our team and play a pivotal role in sourcing, attracting, and retaining top talent to support our growth initiatives.

    As an HR Contractor - Recruitment Specialist, you will be responsible for leading our recruitment efforts, focusing primarily on identifying and acquiring talent for various roles within our organization, with a heavy emphasis on staffing needs for the reopening of our production facility for both salaried and unionized employee bases.

    You will collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing requirements, develop recruitment strategies, and execute full-cycle recruitment processes to ensure the timely and successful onboarding of qualified candidates.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Recruitment Strategy Development:

    Develop comprehensive recruitment strategies aligned with organizational objectives, taking into account the specific staffing needs for the reopening of our production facility, while also considering the unique requirements of both salaried and unionized positions.


    • Candidate Sourcing:

    Utilize a variety of sourcing methods to attract candidates for salaried and unionized positions, maintaining a focus on diversity and inclusion to build a well-rounded workforce.


    • Screening and Selection:
    Conduct thorough screening of candidates to assess their qualifications, skills, and cultural fit with the organization. Coordinate interviews and assessments, facilitate hiring decisions, and extend job offers to successful candidates.

    • Talent Pipeline Management:

    Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs, ensuring a continuous flow of high-quality candidates.


    • Employer Branding:

    Enhance our employer brand among both salaried and unionized employees by promoting a positive candidate experience, providing transparent communication throughout the recruitment process, and fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity.


    • Data Analysis and Reporting: Track recruitment metrics for both salaried and unionized positions, analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
    • Compliance:
    Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the recruitment process.

    • Develop internship partnerships with different institutions
    • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including but not limited to onboarding, orientation & offboarding, communications, general HR issues, etc.
    • Assist with other HR special projects or initiatives as needed.
    • Support local payroll & inquiries

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • Proven experience (- years) as a recruitment specialist or in a similar role, with a focus on high-volume recruitment, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment, with a strong understanding of both salaried and unionized employee recruitment processes.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates, hiring managers, and union representatives.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in HRIS (Workday) and ATS software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite

    • This is a month contract position
    • Flexible working hours may be considered based on project requirements.
    • Hybrid model with the need for days of presence on site
    • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.
