POSITION:
Lead Hand Warehouse

REPORTS TO:
Operations Supervisor

SHIFT:0130hrs - 0930hrs (1:30am - 9:30am)

SHIFT PREMIUM:
$0.90/hr for all hours worked before 0600hrs (6am)

STARTING WAGE:
$16.65/hr plus $1.50 per hour shift premium

OVERALL PURPOSE:

To contribute to the overall functioning and daily operation of the site. This will include both administrative and warehouse duties.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Warehouse sorting and scanning (heavy lifting required)
Sort Mail and other freight items
Coordinate/Supervise the work of other hourly employees as assigned
Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have reliable transportation to and form work location
Must be able to lift up to 75lbs on a regular & repeated basis throughout the shift
Computer knowledge
Able to work in a fastpaced, physically demanding environment
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize work as needed
Must have good general knowledge of NS Geography
Mail sort experience considered an assest
Prior warehouse experience is considered an asset
Prior lead hand/supervisor experience is considered an asset
