    Position Overview

    First Truck Centre, doing business as Velocity Truck Centres, is currently accepting resumes for a seasoned Recruitment Coordinator.

    Based out of our Edmonton West location the successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the recruitment process from job requisition approval to candidate onboarding. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, extraordinary multitasking skills, and a passion for providing an exceptional candidate experience.

  • Primary Job Functions

  • Facilitate the job requisition approval process, ensuring all necessary information is gathered and approvals are obtained.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to gather detailed information about job requirements and candidate qualifications.
  • Work closely with Recruitment Business Partner to create and post job advertisements in accordance with job posting guidelines.
  • Develop questions to efficiently screen and identify qualified candidates.
  • Utilize various sourcing methods to attract and engage potential candidates.
  • Review resumes and applications to identify top candidates for further consideration.
  • Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring teams, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Track and maintain recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of recruitment efforts.
  • Conduct reference checks for selected candidates to verify their qualifications and experience.
  • Assist with the completion of hiring paperwork and documentation for selected candidates.
  • Develop and send follow-up communications to candidates, including next steps and satisfaction surveys to gather feedback on the recruitment process.
  • Contribute to employment branding initiatives to attract top talent and promote the company as an employer of choice.
  • Assist with end of service administration.
  • Qualifications

  • Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Recruitment Coordinator or HR. Administrator.
  • designation is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems.
