IT proudly provides the computer systems, security, IT services and governance that support AGLC's businesses, including the operation & support of mission critical gaming, liquor and corporate systems running on a variety of computing platforms.

IT ensures the stability and performance of a Local/Wide Area Network, which supports over 1,200 gaming locations and more than 2,000 computers/tablets, 150 physical and 2,000 virtual servers distributed across six corporate offices, casinos, RECs and bingo halls.

IT provides leadership in the use of information technology, data and systems to help the AGLC achieve business goals and objectives.

JOB SUMMARY


Are you a change practitioner with a strong foundational knowledge of change management principles and methods? Do you possess strong collaboration and people skills? Do you enjoy working with people and preparing them for the changes ahead? Then this may be the role for you Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC) is experiencing consistent change and is looking to enhance the Change Management practice.


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Organizational Change Management & Business Analysis, the Change Management Advisor will be expected to work collaboratively with senior leadership, project teams, end users and other key stakeholder groups.

Looked to as an expert in customizing and implementing strategies to successfully engage, prepare and support stakeholders through change, you will be responsible for supporting project teams and divisions/branches within the AGLC by providing change management oversight.

You will ensure that projects and change initiatives meet objectives and intended benefits by increasing end user utilization, adoption and proficiency.

To achieve this, you will be responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing a variety of change management plans, tactics and tools to support change initiatives.

You will employ appropriate methodologies to aid project teams and business units in assessing stakeholder impacts, the capacity of human resources, training and documentation requirements, communication strategies, support and sustainment plans and measure end user readiness.


To be successful in this role, you will have significant related experience with demonstrated strengths in change management, facilitation and an understanding of project management methodologies.

Proven strengths as a leader and a demonstrated ability to achieve results through others is necessary.


SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Minimum of a University Degree in a related field
  • Minimum 5 years related experience in organizational change management leading change initiative
  • Experience with IT Projects will be given preference
  • Certified in Change Management through Prosci, or equivalent is an asset
  • Certification in any of the following is also considered an asset: adult education, curriculum development, instructional design, Business Analysis, Project Management

Note:
This position is a hybrid where the incumbent is expected to be in office three days per week
