Description
The integrity of Sheridan's space data impacts strategic and capital planning across all departments and faculties.The Space Planning Coordinator is responsible for upholding an organized and strategic approach to maintaining a space inventory of all campuses and sites and is the technical expert and administrator of ARCHIBUS, Sheridan's Space Inventory and Management database.
The Space Planning Coordinator maintains expertise in space data coding, performs data audits and reporting activities, vets and coordinates short-term space-related projects, and consults internal stakeholders on issues and options related to space planning.

What You'll be Doing
Routinely meeting with faculties and departments to document the use, allocation, and attributes of spaces;
Collaborating with Design and Construction and other Facilities divisions on processes for receiving timely updates on renovations, reassignments, and moves;
Performing ARCHIBUS data integrity checks by conducting periodic site audits to validate function, occupancy, area measurements, etc.;
Scheduling and performing annual audits and preparing space data reports for submission to the Ministry;
Collaborating on processes and actively pursuing data updates from other departments on room attributes (e.g. Audio Visual equipment, accessibility/Universal Design attributes, etc.);
Collaborating with other departments on the analysis of scheduling, occupancy, and room utilization data;
Consulting with stakeholders to establish and define the root cause of their space change need; determining opportunities, constraints, timeline;
Producing 'test fit' drawings in AutoCAD, space data reports, and PowerPoint presentations for stakeholders in order to convey potential solution(s) to their need;
Providing guidance and support to Co-op students;
Assigning and administering ARCHIBUS user permissions, installing software upgrades and enhancements, performing ongoing maintenance of the system, and providing frontline support to end users;
Performing other duties as assigned.
About You

3-year Advanced Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architectural Technology, or related field and a minimum of 2 years experience working with clients or consultative role - interior design, architectural, facilities fields preferred.
Experience in space and design conceptualization and proficient with AutoCAD 2019 (preferred).
Experience operating and/or maintaining databases; experience with ARCHIBUS or other Integrated Workplace Management Systems is preferred.
Experience with Revit, Sketch Up, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Photoshop (preferred).
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, and Excel (including pivot tables).
