Teaching and Learning

The School
Stratford Hall, an independent, K-12 IB World School, invites applications from individuals who wish to join our dynamic team. Located in Vancouver, BC, this warm, welcoming community is home to over 540 students and over 100 teachers and support staff. Our graduates attend the top post‑secondary schools in Canada, the US and abroad. Founded in 2000, Stratford Hall is one of the few IB continuum schools in Canada and has a rich tradition of educational innovation and excellence in the Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes.
Position Rationale and Goal
The teacher is the key element in the school's ability to promote the social, emotional and academic well‑being of the students and is the key driver of a school culture that is warm, inviting and committed to the ideals of the International Baccalaureate programmes. Consistent with the Ministry of Education and International Baccalaureate programmes, the teacher works within an established framework for the delivery of educational service which supports the school programme. The teacher ensures that the instructional programme is implemented in a way that maximises learning for all students.
