We are looking for an experienced and dedicated full-time Foreman/ Skilled Carpenter to join our company to work with us on our projects through 2022 and beyond.


As a Foreman/Skilled Carpenter, you will be responsible for coordinating installation, repairs, and/or restoration of the woodwork and related materials in conjunction with a set scope of work.

You will be required to supervise other trades during construction projects. Steel stud and drywall experience is desirable.


Duties and Responsibility

  • Work effectively with our Project Management team and site leads to facilitate job specifications
  • Produce high quality, efficient work according to the planned scope, provide direction to labourers and carpenters, assist in the coordination of daily activities
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, programs, policies, procedures, and safety precautions.
  • Promote the health and safety of all site staff, ensure appropriate safety equipment is worn and used, and equipment and worksite area is safe and clean
  • Ensure the highest quality workmanship and efficient work procedures. Recommend, and implement continuous improvements
  • Review project specifications and drawings and notify the PM of any defects, mistakes, errors, contamination, or variations identified
  • Operate and perform preventative maintenance on a variety of hand and power tools

Requirements:


  • Legally eligible to work in Canada; must have a valid work permit.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in commercial renovation construction from frame to finish
  • Driver's License with reliable transportation
  • Level 1 First Aid (or better) preferred
  • Solid understanding of construction trades and construction techniques
  • Experience and working knowledge interpreting drawings, specifications, and relevant project information
  • Detailoriented, tidy, presentable, and honest
  • Must have 2 vaccination shots.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$45.00-$60.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Lower Mainland, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- construction: 3 years (preferred)
