The Stores Attendant performs a variety of tasks associated with the picking, packaging, shipping and receiving of materials, supplies and equipment.

This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 41 Collective Agreement.

Completion of Grade 10 or recognized equivalent is required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Must be capable of pushing and pulling heavy wheeled carts up to and occasionally exceeding 275kg. Must be capable of walking and standing for long periods of time. Must regularly use hand and arms to reach, lift and carry heavy items up to 25kg. Must be competent in a computerized environment. Must have current and relevant inventory management experience/education. Must be competent utilizing Oracle AHS Inventory modules, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to demonstrate mathematical competency in relation to costing, weights, unit of measure and metric conversions. Must be capable of understanding and accurately following complex and detailed English instructions. Possess high standards of accuracy, be detailed oriented requiring mínimal supervision and possess strong interpersonal/customer service skills. Must be able to work safely and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience utilizing both powered and manual material handling equipment such motorized and hydraulic pallet lifts. Experience utilizing Oracle inventory modules. 1-2 Years
