Our expectations:

Reporting to the Director, Transportation Optimization, the incumbent is responsible for the team of Analysts, Transportation Data Intelligence. This group's mission is to drive operational excellence and continuous performance improvement in Transportation across all regions and segments. Moreover, it consists of taking part in defining the data intelligence strategy as well as its execution. This role covers all geographical regions and various transportation segments (inbound/outbound transportation, importation, and final mile).


This position requires excellent leadership and communication skills, including the ability to continuously improve the efficiency of client group business practices.

It also requires proficiency with Transportation Management Systems and the ability to play a key role as a change agent with client groups.


Your role:


  • Lead the development & production of the KPIs and other transportation parameters, and ensure the quality of execution
  • Lead the development of the Data Warehouse for the transportation department
  • Ensure the data quality and integrity as well as its compliance with internal and external regulations
  • Develop and continuously improve the data engineering practices in the Transportation team
  • Lead the development and construction of large data sets from structured and unstructured sources, both internal and external in oder to put in place analytical solutions
  • Participate as project owner in data intelligence projects
  • Manage a team of individual contributors, be accountable for the engagement level of all employees within their span of control
  • Develop a united and versatile team as well as create and manage a talent pool
  • Guide the team in prioritizing of their short
- and long-term objectives

  • Foster the change management within the team to ensure the adoption of new business processes and firstinclass operational standards

The qualifications we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management (operations, logistics, supply chain), engineering, or a related field (required)
  • At least 5 years of experience in the retail industry, largescale national distributor, or transportation/logistics service provider (an asset)
  • At least 3 years of experience in a management role
  • Experience evolving in a context of transformational change
  • Ability to lead members of the remote team
  • Stakeholder management abilities; demonstrated ability to develop stakeholder relationships and building collaborative processes
  • People management skills; demonstrated ability to mobilize teams, coach, and drive accountability of individual contributors
  • Organization and rigour; track record of proving highquality deliverables on time and under pressure as well as managing priorities accordingly in a fastpaced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in teams at all levels of the organization and across functions in a complex environment
  • Communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely communicate with all levels of the organization and across functions to achieve goals
  • Critical and analytical thinking, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills; proactive nature and willingness to challenge existing processes and propose new solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to use and/or learn technology solutions such as Transportation Management Systems (TMSs), routing optimization, network modelling, carrier sourcing, and business analytics tools
  • Experience with Oracle TM, Power BI, and/or JDA TM (an asset)
  • Ability to travel (domestic and occasionally to the USA) up to 20% of the time based on needs (required)
