    Job Description

    Reporting to the Supervisor, Occupational Health and Safety, and working in close collaboration with managers, Occupational Health & Safety Advisor is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and controlling activities relating to the prevention of work-related accidents and illnesses for the sites assigned to him/her.

    • Acts as a change agent for the development of an OHS culture among all managers/employees for all assigned sites.
    • Advises and supports managers in their various OHS matters.
    • Collaborates in the development and implementation of various OHS programs, policies, procedures and tools.
    • Regularly inspects workplaces and work methods to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
    • Carries out analyses of occupational hazards and proposes preventive measures.
    • Conducts workplace accident investigations and analyses in conjunction with managers, and ensures that the necessary corrective and preventive measures are applied.
    • Participates and collaborates with administrative bodies during inspections or investigations (CNESST, fire departments, CIUSS, etc.).
    • Responds to information requests from employees and internal/external customers concerning occupational health and safety.
    • Ensures that all mandatory OHS training is completed for all employees and, if necessary, provides the required training.
    • Performs all other related duties.
    Qualifications
    • College diploma or university certificate in OHS.
    • Minimum 7 to 10 years' experience in a similar position.
    • Knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
    • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
    • Bilingualism required.
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between company sites.

    • Full time, permanent position
    • Monday to friday, 9 am to 5 pm
