TD Asset Management (TDAM), a member of TD Bank Financial Group, is a leading North American investment manager offering progressive investment solutions to both institutional and individual investors.

In attaining this client commitment, TDAM has built one of Canada's largest and most respected investment management and research teams with more than 220 Portfolio Managers, Associate Portfolio Managers, Traders and Analysts.
TD Asset Management's Asset Allocation team is composed of portfolio managers and analysts responsible for the management of ~$100 billion in assets of global multi-asset portfolios.
The team designs and manages portfolio solutions to help retail, high net worth and institutional clients achieve their investment goals.
The Asset Allocation team follows a disciplined top-down and bottom-up investment process that leverages quantitative and qualitative analysis to deliver investment excellence through macro-economic and investment analysis, strategic portfolio design and tactical management across asset classes such as global fixed income, equities, derivatives and alternatives.
The Associate is expected to have practical experience in derivatives. The individual will be directly involved in daily portfolio management, portfolio construction, investment idea generation, analytics and risk management. The individual may be involved in client-facing portfolio updates and investment strategy discussions.The individual should be enthusiastic about global markets and managing client-specific investment solutions, committed to investment excellence and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.
Job Requirements- 3+ years of experience in a derivatives trading, research or portfolio management role
- Quantitative educational background is preferred
- Working towards Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is preferred
- Strong understanding of investment markets, strategies, trading, portfolio construction and risk analytics
- Strong programming proficiency (i.e. Excel VBA, Python, R, SQLServer Programming) would be an asset
- Excellent attention to detail, high level of intellectual curiosity and problemsolving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate solutions to complex problems
