service to our community by safely operating the community van to transport passengers
throughout the community.


Community Care-A-Van Drivers - Part-time, casual with varied hours
**Wage - $25/hour

**SUMMARY OF FUNCTION: Ensures safe operation of the community bus while adhering to all Town Vehicle Use and
Driving policies, traffic laws and regulations

Ensures safety of passengers including enforcement of rules of conduct, awareness of
emergency response plans and assistance with safe loading and offloading

Completes all required documentation including pre trip vehicle safety checks, hazard
assessments, maintenance, and driver logs


Ensures reliability of service through:
Efficient planning and mapping of routes
Awareness of road conditions, road closures and event schedules
Understands and adheres to all employer responsibilities as outlined in The Town's Human

Resources and Health and Safety Policies.
Performs other duties as assigned.





TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

A valid Class 1, 2 or 4 Alberta Driver's License with Driving Record deemed acceptable

upon review by the Town
Minimum 18 Year of Age
Minimum 2 Years of Driving Experience
Experience working with Seniors/Youth and Asset
Defensive Driving Certification an asset
First Aid with CPR
RCMP Based Vulnerable Sector Check as deemed acceptable by the Town
