    This position supports our Borden Operation.

    Purpose

    • Unload, receive & store goods and materials procured by the company
    • Issue goods and materials from inventory
    • Document, load and ship material off site
    • Ensure accuracy of all transactions
    • Conduct assigned inventory counts
    • All to be completed in an efficient, effective, timely and safe manner

    SAFETY AND SUSTAINABILITY EXPECTATIONS

    • Must handle all goods and materials consistent with company and departmental policies
    • Ensuring that all delivery personnel understanding and adhere to Porcupine Gold Mines Unloading & Unloading policy.
    • Must work within the Occupational Health & Safety Act particularly as it relates to designated substances under WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods
    • Responsible to keep the work environment clean and safe
    • Must ensure all good and materials are stored properly in a safe manner away from traffic
    • Must wear PPE as prescribed by the OH&S Act and company policy
    • Responsible for daily circle checks on all Warehouse Equipment.
    • Must advise customers and visitors in work place of PPE requirements
    • Must ensure all involved individuals affected by the new Loading and Unloading Procedure are fully aware of their roles and responsibilities and take control of the situation if needed

    Essential Duties


    Receiving

    • Responsible for the receiving of all goods procured by the company
    • Must ensure accuracy of goods received
    • Must report all deficiencies to the vendor and the Warehouse Supervisor and resolve the issue in a timely manner
    • Ensure items are picked up or delivered in a timely manner
    • Keep accurate filing system of all documentation for future reference

    Issuing

    • Responsible for the issuing of all inventory
    • Ensure accuracy of all issue transactions
    • Enter issue transactions in the computer system in a timely manner to ensure an accurate re-order report
    • Pull from shelves and prepare for shipping internally requested inventory
    • Train customers in the use of Hand Held Computers for issuing or inquiry


    Shipping

    • Responsible for the preparation of all documentation, company, legislated or carrier, for the shipping of goods off site
    • Must ensure all material being shipped off site is properly and safely packaged or skidded, and has any and all appropriate labels and warnings attached

    Stocking

    • Must ensure all inventory items are put away in their proper designated location, in an accurate safe and timely manner

    Ordering

    • Responsible to order inventory items as assigned or requested


    Physical Counts

    • Responsible to conduct formal physical counts as scheduled
    • Responsible to conduct spot checks as required or requested
    • Ensure all counts or spot checks are dated and signed

    Training & Experience

    • Grade 12 Diploma or relevant experience.
    • Valid "G" driver's license
    • Working knowledge of legislation requirements under Transportation of Dangerous Goods act.
    • Minimum of three years warehouse experience.
    • Forklift operator's certificate. Underground Common Core Modules
    • With minimal supervision must be able to organize work, prioritize and execute.
    • Working knowledge of PC software would be asset.
    • Operating U/G Mobile service vehicle.

    Working Conditions


    This is a site based position located in Timmins, ON

    The schedule is 4 days on 3 days off

    Travel to Chapleau may be required.
