The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in White Rock is seeking an Associate Advisor to join a successful Private Investment Management Team.

You will deepen client relationships by offering sound advice and support to clients and to the Portfolio Manager. Identifying and assisting growth of new business opportunities will also be key.


What will you do?

  • Coordinate meetings and events for the Investment Advisor with clients and prospects: help determine agenda and key topics, prepare documentation, execute postmeeting work. Attend client meetings when required.
  • Provide proactive client service with a problemresolution focus and attention to details. Liaise with various departments for execution, where necessary.
  • Respond to client account inquiries and remain accountable to followup, as required.
  • Help build and execute business plans, client segmentation, and client service plans.
  • Identify and execute opportunities among existing client base for asset consolidation, referrals, etc.
  • Trading and / or Portfolio Rebalancing
  • Conduct ongoing research on markets and investments, provide regular updates to the advisory team.
  • Draw on your social media skills to update the team's communication channels, including websites, LinkedIn, Facebook, brochures, newsletters.
  • Support advisory team and client through the Wealth Management process. Help gather relevant information, coordinate activities with Wealth Management specialists, track progress and follow up.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Approval as a Registered Representative (RR) with IIROC
  • Successful completion of the Wealth Management Essentials (WME) course or Investment Management Techniques (IMT)
  • University degree
  • A selfdirected individual with a growth and goalsoriented mindset
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

Nice-to-have

  • 4 years or more of professional experience within investment industry
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Highlydeveloped client service skills
