Quality Inn Downtown is looking for positive and energetic individuals to join the Front Desk team in the role of Front Desk Agent (Night Audit).

This individual is responsible for registering guests at the hotel and acting as an ambassador to the Quality Inn.


Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the Front Desk Agent is responsible for delivering exemplary customer service to the guests throughout all stages of their stay.

Must be available on the weekends and 2 night shifts per week.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide courteous, professional and attentive service at all times
  • Process guest arrivals and departures, including all necessary payments
  • Upsell guest rooms, packages and promote other services of the hotel
  • Be well informed of all hotel rates & packages, hotel amenities and facilities, local area and attractions
  • Offer referral for services and handle requests for information
  • Follow up on special requests, concerns & inquiries
  • Handle and store luggage
  • Answering the switchboard, directing calls, responding to inquiries, and taking reservations
  • Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk and lobby
  • Responsible for managing a cash float and performing cashier duties
  • Balancing credit cards, cash, debit transactions, cheques
  • Participate in safety and emergency procedures
  • Work closely with the housekeeping department to coordinate room status updates, special deliveries, and maintenance requests
  • Other daily tasks as assigned by the Front Office Manager

Requirements:


  • Must be able to work Monday to Sunday Nights.
  • Previous experience in customer service and ability to handle high volumes of challenging guestrelated interactions with professionalism
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with excellent communication and observational skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, be well organized, and detailoriented
  • Cash handling experience
  • Maintain the highest standard of professionalism, ethics, grooming and attitude towards guests, clients and other associates
  • Maintain professional business confidentiality as required
  • Might require lifting of luggage for storage
