Functional responsibilities:


Support the oversight and delivery of a wide range of client projects in the pharmaceutical and medical device space in Canada, including: market access projects, retrospective database studies, business strategy, health economic analyses, patient journeys, access metrics, and other varied and exciting engagements.


This role will focus on driving solutions in Market Access, Business Strategy, and HTA with a focus in Oncology for clients.


Working with other team members you will:

  • Project manage and contribute to study design and methodology development
  • Develop innovative approaches, frameworks and solutions to client problems
  • Review and assist in the preparation of proposals, study protocols and draft reports
  • Interpret qualitative and quantitative 'realworld' data for deliverables
  • Oversee and prepare market access submissions to stakeholders including HTA, PCPA, and Payers
  • Oversee and prepare presentations, abstracts and manuscripts relating to projects including for presentation at scientific conferences and submission to scientific journals
  • Conduct and project manage primary and secondary research
  • Conduct and project manage workshops, expert advisory boards and moderate discussions
  • Conduct and oversee quantitative and qualitative market research with Canadian opinion leaders
  • Develop and present on thought leadership pieces, whitepapers, posters, and conferences

_ Associate Principals & Senior Consultants_

_ are responsible for the oversight and managing of multiple consulting projects of varying complexity and ensures on-time and on-budget delivery for clients in the life sciences field. Contributes to new business development and maintaining and strengthening client base. May support the development of new offerings._

Project management and client liaison responsibilities:

  • Responsible and assist overall project management and client management
  • Attend client and other external meetings as and when required
  • Associate Principals and senior consultants will additionally serve as the key point of contact with the client, driving innovative solutions and providing Market Access expertise.

Business development responsibilities:


  • Review and analyze client requirements or problems in order to develop proposals for projects that exceed client expectations.
  • Produce proposals based on client RFPs and supporting information, reviewing and refining in collaboration with clients.
  • Driving strategic growth in the Market Access space.

Experience:


  • 510 years' experience in the pharmaceutical/consulting industry in market access or health economics, with proven experience leading consulting engagements

Experience will generally have been gained in one of the following environments:

  • Healthcare Consultancy, Pharmaceutical or other Healthcare Industry, Academic or Governmental Research Organization, Health Services Research setting

Technical skills and knowledge (assets)

  • Good understanding of the pharmaceutical reimbursement process in Canada
  • Conducting analyses in databases and/or registries
  • Longitudinal patient level data analysis
  • Good understanding of outcomes research theory, and practical knowledge of research project implementation
  • Numerate with good quantitative skills
  • Competency in using Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • High level of literacy able to write reports and manuscripts in clear, accurate and concise language
  • Understanding and interest in the Canadian and international health care environment
  • Experience in programming Visual Basic for Applications within Excel is a plus
  • Experience with statistical software (SAS, SPSS, R) is a plus
  • Commercial awareness and good understanding of the health technology and pharmaceutical industry, gained through experience
  • Knowledge of consulting methods, tools and techniques related to these areas

Education Requirements:


  • PhD/Masters/MBA in relevant health sciences field or equivalent industry experience
  • Clinical qualifications a plus (MD, PharmD, NP, )
