Field Service Technician- FST 1

A Snapshot of Your Day

Siemens Energy Transmission services providescovers a comprehensive service portfolio including packaging turnkeyinstallation and commissioning, repair, refurbishment and spares for OEM andnon-OEM power transformers.

In addition we supply spare parts for both AIG andGIS installed base

Thisposition reports directly to the Field Service Supervisor but will haveperformance reporting responsibility to many team leaders in the overallSiemens Energy Grid Technologies.

How You'll Make anImpact

Perform complex field service operations that require strongtechnical skills.
Communicate clearly and professionally (written and/or verbal)regarding project scope, safety reviews (i.e., tailgate meetings), security orenvironmental incidents, safety violations, or near misses.
Provide leadership and guide less experienced technicians,instructing them in proper and safe operation of equipment and tasks.
Maintain safe operating condition of vehicles, tools, andequipment including conducting detailed inventories and inspections todetermine maintenance and repairs.
Perform all tasks associated with onsite repair of power anddistribution transformers, ie: cutting new gaskets/Orings, oil handling,internal inspections, lead cutting crimping and taping as needed.
Perform all tasks associated with onsite repair of high voltageelectrical equipment such as but not limited to; re gaskets/Orings of GISand HV breakers assembly, gas filling and recovery, inspections andtesting.
Perform duties in accordance with Siemens Energy, customers,industry, and corporate laws, regulations, and standards.

What You Bring

Strongmechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools and their functions.
Must be able to read andinterpret documents such as safety rule, operating and maintenance instruction,and procedure manuals.
